1. Workshop: Lawns and Lobsters Environmentally Safe Lawn Care

Special Community Workshop: “Lawns and Lobsters: Environmentally Safe Lawn Care,” hosted by the Falmouth Conservation Commission, part of the Changing Landscapes, Shifting TIdes: The Story of Falmouth Event Series.

This FREE workshop on environmentally safe lawn care will take place at the Portland Country Club. Everybody is welcome: homeowners, students, condo residents, retail businesses, and landscapers. Because all of Falmouth drains into Casco Bay, everything we put on our lawns affects lobsters, fish, and clams. Learn about this intricate relationship and the significant role yardscapers can play in preserving our natural resources.

2. Hi-Fi Sock Hop Presented by Falmouth Historical Society

Event Date: Saturday, March 24, 2018 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Join Falmouth Historical Society for a 1950s Hi-Fi dance in the style of those held by Falmouth's Hi-Fi Club. The Hi-Fi club, made up of Falmouth teens, held bi-monthly dances for approximately 6 years in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Many of those teens still live in Falmouth today. Relive the nostalgia of the club for one night of fun. 1950s-style dress encouraged. This is a family-friendly event.

3. Shaping the Maine Landscape: Wabanaki in Casco Bay Part of the Changing Landscapes, Shifting Tides: The Story of Falmouth Event Series

Exploring the interactions between humans and the landscape over Falmouth’s 300-year history.

Featuring Joseph Hall, Associate Professor of History, Bates College

The Changing Landscapes, Shifting Tides: The Story of Falmouth Event Series continues to explore the history of Falmouth through the interactions of humans with their environment. In this session, a study of place names offers clues for understanding how people inhabit a place.

4. Donate300: March Ricettas to collect pasta and tomato sauce to benefit Falmouth Food Pantry

Event Date: Thursday, March 1, 2018 (All day) to Saturday, March 31, 2018 (All day)

Ricettas 240 US Route One, Falmouth

During the month of March Ricettas will collect dry pasta and pasta sauce to benefit Falmouth Food Pantry as part of Falmouth300's Donate300 Challenge. Drop off items during opening hours.
