Best Date Night Spots For Valentine's Day

If you are like most of us, you’re probably looking for ideas for a romantic date night out with your significant other this Valentine’s Day.  We’ve got you covered!

We’ve put together our favorite romantic and fun things to do in Portland with your significant other, best friend, or family.

Skate The Rink at Thompson's Point

Ice skating The Rink at Thompson's Point overlooking Portland's beautiful skyline is a great way to break the ice (pun intended) on a first date or simply enjoying a special evening with your special someone.

Stay toasty and warm in the warming room and heated lounge or grab a beverage and a bite to eat at an on-site food vendor to satisfy your thirst and hunger to complete your date night Valentine’s Day festivities.

Explore Portland Museum of Art

Enjoy a romantic stroll through the cultural heart of Portland. The Portland Museum of Art has an extensive collection and nationally renowned exhibitions that are sure to give your evening a robust and well-rounded arts experience.

Go Bowling

The bowling scene in the Greater Portland area is buzzing with a resurgence of facilities offering anything from small alleys that are all business to full venues with DJs, live entertainment, bar and lounge. If you've been out of the bowling scene plan your date night at one of Maine's premier bowling alleys and see what the fuss is all about.  Whether you are intent on just bowling or going for the hand-crafted beer, bistro-style menus or to hear a local band, bowling is a fun way to spend this Valentine's Day! Here are our favorite bowling facilities: Bayside Bowl, Easy Day, Spare Time Entertainment, The Big 20 Bowling Center, and Round 1 Bowling & Amusement

Theater and Arts

Broadway National Tour “Legally Blonde: The Musical” is playing at The Merrill Auditorium, a beautifully restored 1,900-seat performance venue, this majestic hall is one of the gems of Portland’s downtown Arts District and is located near many excellent restaurants...an excellent way to spend Valentine's Day with your loved one.

Catch Dinner and a Movie

Keep things traditional by catching a bite to eat and a box office blockbuster with your significant other. For a list of movie times and tickets check out Fandango.  Whether you are looking for some comedic relief or a romantic love story, Valentine's Day is a great excuse to go to the movies.

A Little Something Extra:

If you really want to WOW your date this Valentine's Day here are a couple of ideas that will add that extra something special.  Hire  Uber Black and ride in luxury with a professional driver to bring you to and from your favorite restaurant.  Speaking of restaurants, one of our favorites is Hugo's and we suggest trying their Blind Tasting for $90.  It may not be light on the wallet but it's sure to add a sense of adventure and romance to your dinner date.  If Hugo's isn't for you, take a look at this incredible food map for a definitive guide to Portland's food scene.  You're sure to find just the right restaurant for your special evening.

Finding the love of your life isn't always easy.

But we've made finding a home you love even easier.
